I like their blue nitrile gloves, but based on the quality control I’ve seen in the boxes I’ve gone through... I wouldn’t want to use them medically unless they were all that was left. Most are great but some have holes almost immediately or have weak spots that tear within minutes of putting them on.

A commendable effort either way!

smart - do the right thing upfront instead of getting caught like Target and end up looking like wankers

Very cool!

Speaking of those gloves, it always seems a glaring omission to me that HF doesn’t have 6mil ones. It’s the perfect thickness for wrenching, in my experience. The 5mils tear too easily, and the 7mils are a bit too stiff and wastefully heavy duty. Really, if I’m going to be handling rough stuff that would justify the 7mil gloves, there’s a good chance that I’m gonna be wearing more than just nitrile disposables anyway. But it’s hard to find 6mil gloves for cheap (they typically run $15 or more for a box of 100), and it’s disappointing to not see any competition from HF.

Fair point - good thing they’re not trying to protect against BBP’s, more general contact hazard.  Just opened a fresh box, so I’ll use them sparingly...

Of course they have been selling them for weeks despite shortages. It’s probably not especially painful to donate them now that their inventories are probably more or less depleted.

I use the 5mil for basic stuff like oil changes, and the 7mil for the heavier jobs
